It provides services that are cloud-based and are focused on sales management, customer relationship management and also mobile enterprise solutions using its CRM software as an intervention.
Founded in the year 2010 by five individuals, the company has recorded a massive growth over the years with a current record of about 500 employees and over 85,000 clients all round the world. Timo Rein, who is a co-founder of the company also doubles as its CEO since 2016.
Under his leadership, Pipedrive has raised about $91.2 million in over 9 rounds of funding, with the most recent funding being from a series c round in October 2018. In 2018, the company also initiated the enhancement of its financial sales activities by launching the Pipedrive for Financial Services.
Prior to co-founding Pipedrive, CEO Timo Rein worked as a sales consultant and trainer at Vain & Partners, also working with some big names including Coca-Cola and Nissan. The father of three has a BA in Psychology from the University of Estonia, this can be said to be one of the contributing factors to his highly placed recruiting ability. He is a member of the Forbes Technology Council.
Timo believes that, over the years, there has really been no massive change in sales. Although he also accepts that there has been a lot of influence on sales by the internet, he also sticks to the fact that the end goals and ways of actually getting the right prospect has really not changed over the years. According to Timo Rein, ‘you need to see that when you are doing sales you are actually running a business, if you see it that way, I think then that you will have an edge’.
