Geek of the Week: Byron Deeter

A number of months ago we launched a feature called Geek of the Week. Every week, CloudWedge nominates a ‘Geek of the week’ to any cloud leader who has been in the news in the last week that we feel deserves special mention or praise.

We are happy to announce this weeks’ Geek of the Week is Byron Deeter a Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners. We quoted Byron earlier this week in reference to BVP’s expectations for the cloud when he said “There is no question cloud is the future of software.”

Byron has been at BVP for around ten years now. Prior to BVP, Byron worked for a number of years as an entrepreneur, investor and consultant. This included founding and running his own company Trigo Technologies that not only became extremely successful, but was bought by IBM after only 4 years.  He then worked at IBM as a Business Development & Market Development Executive for just over a year.

He has served as a board member of several companies including Twilio, Inc., Cornerstone OnDemand, Box, SendGrid, Adaptive Planning, ClearSlide, Inc., and many others.

Byron graduated with a B.A from Berkeley with Honors.
