Using Music for the Cloud-Volution
Last month we wrote a piece called ‘DJCloud: Mashing up Cloud with Top Hits.’ There we identified 15 top hits that could be used as part of the ‘cloud-volution.’ We feel that cloud is very much the future of the tech world and to celebrate this we created a new genre: Alt-tech. In our last article, we suggested songs we felt could be appropriate for our new genre if the lyrics were slightly tweaked. Therefore, we wrote 15 examples where we replaced the word ‘cloud’ with the traditional lyrics. For example, “Every Cloudleak Is A Waterfall” replaced Coldplay’s traditional “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall,” or “Cloudless Wonder” replaced Mumford & Sons’s “Hopeless Wonder.”
In this feature, we singled out 15 songs from top artists that already contain the word cloud and therefore are already one their way to joining the cloud-volution.
