FireEye Launches Email Threat Prevention Cloud
FireEye is quickly becoming one of the most trusted names in cloud security offerings. FireEye’s latest project is entitled the FireEye Email Threat Prevention Cloud. This SaaS offering fully protects your end users from receiving viruses, malware, phishing attacks and all of the latest malicious email tactics that criminals are trying to implement in order to steal your organization’s information.

Essentially, FireEye has implemented a two factor process first sends all of your mail through an anti-spam, anti-virus engine. The next stage consists of the email data being analyzed using the FireEye MVX engine which FireEye says will generate “threat intelligence that enables organizations to protect against the advanced persistent attack.” FireEye goes on to say that that Email Threat Prevention Cloud “leverages the FireEye ecosystem by exchanging threat intelligence through the FireEye Dynamic Threat Intelligence (DTI) cloud.”
The most attractive part of FireEye’s email security product is that the solution can be implemented within minutes. In fact, FireEye’s Email Threat Prevention Cloud can be easily implemented into any email setup by editing your MX records for email. Administrators can also opt to use the product in monitor-only mode by implementing a BCC rule.
FireEye boasts that they are trusted by 5 of the world’s largest retailers to protect their businesses from cyber attacks. FireEye also mentions that this SaaS offering conforms to the SOC 2 Type 1 certification standards. FireEye’s advanced email protection can offer your organization an immediate defense against the most intuitive methods of attack.
