Microsoft & Accenture Launch Hybrid Cloud Platform

Technology consulting specialist Accenture has once again teamed up with Microsoft to launch their latest project, a hybrid cloud platform called Accenture Hybrid Cloud Solution for Microsoft Azure.

This solution is designed to help enterprises deliver “everything as a service.” From a single console enterprises will be able to build, control and manage applications and enterprise-wide cloud infrastructures on a powerful hybrid cloud platform.

Back in 2000 the two companies launched another group venture called Avanade, which is the base project of this latest launch Avanade has become a success in its own right with $2 Billion sales and around 22,000 employees. The three companies are all working together to fund and engineer this platform.

Pierre Nanterme, chairman and CEO at Accenture is reported as saying, “Our expanded relationship with Microsoft represents a game-changing proposition that addresses the biggest concerns and complexities our clients face as they look to leverage the cloud. With new demands being placed on IT departments every day, enterprises need to smartly connect their infrastructure, software applications, data and operations capabilities in order to become agile, intelligent, digital businesses. This unique collaboration with Microsoft and Avanade is one of Accenture’s most strategic and important initiatives for driving enterprise-wide cloud adoption.”

Users will also be able to migrate applications, programs and software between public and private cloud platforms and servers through the new Accenture Windows Hybrid Cloud platform. Each partner will contribute their unique assets to this partnership. With Microsoft providing, Hyper V, Hyper Scale, Azure applications, as well as other Windows services. Accenture will provide the operational components including: operational, cloud brokerage, security and data manipulation. Accenture’s cloud platform, along with Microsoft’s Azure pack services will cover the Private to Pubic and vice versa data communications.
