Alert Logic to Open an Office in Seattle

Alert Logic, provider of security minded Software as a Service offerings, has announced that it has opened a new office in Seattle, WA. The move to Seattle comes as many cloud based organizations are looking to move their businesses to the Pacific Northwest region to tap into the area’s immense wealth of technical talent. With companies such as Microsoft, CenturyLink, Google and others having such strong presences in the area, cloud companies are experiencing an incubator effect being that so many companies, such as Alert Logic, are moving into the area.
Alert Logic CEO Gray Hall commented on the new office saying, “Seattle is an important technology hub and opening an office in Seattle puts us physically closer to a number of our customers and prospective customers, as well as key growth partners like AWS, Microsoft and Google.”
Alert Logic reports that the new office will house its engineering, sales and marketing teams. Alert Logic’s new office will be located at 1501 4th Avenue. According to Google Maps, the address appears to be a downtown Seattle location that will have seats for 15 people. A report mentions that the 6,000+ square foot office can be setup to have over 50 employees.
Inside the new office, Alert Logic intends to build a customer engagement center that will allow for clients to stop by the office and learn more about Alert Logic products. Alert Logic is known for its product line up that helps secure public cloud deployments. Currently, Alert Logic is used on AWS, Microsoft Azure, Rackspace Cloud and more. Technology veteran Ben Matheson, Alert Logic’s Chief Marketing Officer, will be the top executive on site at the new Seattle office. Alert Logic reports that the Seattle office will be its 6th office opening. Other Alert Logic offices exist in Dallas, London, Cardiff and Belfast.
