EVault, a company that delivers online backup and cloud recovery services, has announced this week the formation of a strategic partnership with Memory World in Singapore and the surrounding region. Memory World is a leader in distribution of computer memory, digital and network access storage solutions and digital media players.
Memory World was chosen to distribute EVault Saas, EVault Software and EVault Endpoint Protection because of their extensive distribution channels specifically within the Singapore market and neighboring areas. EVault Saas and EVault Software provides on premise or cloud data protection while EVault Endpoint Protection delivers complete backup for an on-the-go workforce. This is considered a huge win for EVault as the Asian-Pacific region is one of the fastest growing markets with massive demand. It is also set to reach revenue of roughly $750 billion in 2013 for technology spending.
Marshall Wan, GM of Memory World added, “We’ve seen firsthand from our customers and resellers in Singapore the increasing demand for more dynamic, secure and fail proof cloud-based backup and recovery solutions. Until now, we were unable to find a vendor who could meet those demands. As this region matures, it’s critical we partner with solution providers that can offer the best cloud services the market has to offer. With EVault’s established and proven track record in delivering cloud-connected data protection solutions, we have found the ideal partner to meet these needs now and in the long term.”
While the deal seems to heavily benefit EVault, Memory World will also gain immensely from this deal. Memory World customers will now be able to store and recover their data using the EVault databases and servers. In addition, like most online backup providers, these customers will now have control over how and where their data will be secured.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
