Leading edge network service provider EdgePresence has partnered with infrastructure as a service (IaaS) leader DediPath to release new bare-metal cloud solutions through EdgePresence’s already established infrastructure facilities. The latest announcement means exciting upgrades in over twenty facilities dedicated to edge colocation, with over half on schedule to be up and running by the end of this year.
One bare-metal location is already up and running, currently located in Jacksonville, FL. The new infrastructure locations will greatly expand connectivity capabilities in an exciting new way. DediPath’s already affordable hosting options are being enhanced with high-end edge computing software and hardware, allowing for unlimited bandwidth and other exciting access options.
The target customer base is small to large businesses that are in need of rapid data connectivity expansion. The flexibility and scalability of EdgePresence’s current lineup of offerings is a solid indication of future development opportunities. The ultra-low latency network and integrated connectivity between EdgePresence’s locations provide tailored solutions for businesses in a wide range of markets.
The soon-to-be-built sites, called EdgePods, are designed to be strategic data centers that are built and designed to mitigate data loss risk, physical security issues, and even overheating by utilizing high-end suppression features that maximize security and stability.
DediPath’s Chief Technology Officer Ernie Quick recently said about the collaboration with EdgePresence, “With the increase of mobile internet usage, awareness and use of the Internet of Things (IoT), and the release of 5G nationwide, customers have a need for their data to be located and accessed at the edge of the network. Our dedicated servers offer lower latency to and from mobile users on the edge.”
The nationwide expansion is set to be completed early next year, with full access to enterprise-grade businesses going live later in 2019.
