Echodyne, the producer of high-performance, highly innovative, small electronically scanned array (ESA) radars for government and commercial markets, revealed today that Maureen Swanson, Manager of Public Policy and Partner Engagement, will be speaking at the FAA UAS Symposium in Baltimore on June 5th, by 2pm. The event would particularly take place at the Baltimore Convention Center.
Swanson will work on the panel entitled “UAS Mitigation at Airports” and talk extensively on how essential it is to precisely track and classify objects of interest, just so mitigation protocols can be triggered at an appropriate time. Echodyne’s MESA™ radars are the very best in their class, delivering the most concise position data that exists. She will also speak on how radar data is useful for prosecuting operators for flying in restricted airspace.
The event which is presented by the FAA and AUVSI, does a great job of connecting stakeholders from several entities, which includes the government, military, public safety and unmanned systems sectors, together to talk extensively on the rules and concepts that will manage drone operations in the nearest future.
Swanson emphasized that it is crucial to be in the possession of technology which can accurately track and detect drones flying in restricted airspace, especially with the fact that drones are now more popular.
Echodyne’s innovative high-performance software-defined radar sensors are created on patented MESA technology. They provide high-resolution 3-D situational awareness data for unmanned aircraft systems, autonomous vehicles, crucial infrastructure security, and smart cities. A unique combination of agile hardware as well as intelligent software gives unprecedented perception, safety, and reliability for machines in the autonomous age.
