Seagate's Hybrid Cloud Backup Tools Increase Backup Speeds by 400%

Seagate has made a name for itself by becoming one of the top storage vendors in the world. Known for their resilient data storage products, Seagate has announced a new set of tools that will help administrators backup their public, private or hybrid clouds quickly and efficiently.
The new products that Seagate has added into its hybrid cloud protection suite are called Seagate Backup and Recovery Software, Seagate Cloud Backup and Recovery Services, Seagate Backup and Recovery Public Cloud and Seagate Data Management Services.
Each of these services can help administrators speed up the process of backing up and managing data all throughout the enterprise. Seagate says that they will begin selling the solutions to customers, value added resellers and managed service providers. These new tools enable small to medium enterprises to use the same tools that large enterprises use when backing up and ensuring the resiliency of their cloud data.
“It is worth noting that IT needs have finally caught up to what Seagates EVault technology has been offering for nearly a decade: a heterogeneous, turnkey backup appliance with tightly-coupled cloud extensibility,” mentions Jason Buffington, Analyst at the Enterprise Strategy Group.
Skip Womack, a veteran CIO and current Chief Commercial Officer at Pixius Communications commented on Seagate’s new products saying, “As a past CIO for a couple of Fortune 500 companies, I have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on backup solutions that were so labor intensive, slow, and just did not meet my needs. Seagate, hands down, puts these concerns to rest.”
Compared to the previous Seagate EVault offerings, the newest versions of Seagate’s Hybrid Cloud Backup Tools show an increase in performance by up to 400%. One of the key features of Backup and Recovery for the Cloud is that organizations can virtual scale their data without constraints while ensuring high availability.
Seagate has built a website showcasing its new cloud backup and recovery products; the website can be found at:
