Untangle Receives Award from Cyber Defense Magazine for Innovation

The Cyber Defense Magazine InfoSec Award Program is still in its youth. It has only been in existence for 8 years now, and this year, Untangle is their winner for “Most Innovative-Small to Medium Size Business-Cybersecurity”.

Untangle is being recognized for its ability to take out the complexity and frustration of security in small to medium-sized businesses. This means that owners are saving time and money, not to mention their nerves, when handling cybersecurity problems.

The Untangle Network Security Framework gives businesses everything they need in a single platform. It evolves into the needs of the business’ infrastructure without adding additional steps with multi-point solutions. This framework also includes the NG Firewall and its newly launched SD-WAN Router.

Cyber Defense Magazine runs the award program by honoring companies that embody a unique and valuable proposition regarding their product and/or services. The judges for the award program include certified security professionals (CISSP, FMDHS, CEH) and they vote based on their own reviews of the company’s products/services submitted for the award.

The judges are looking for three major features when picking their winners:

  • Understanding future cybersecurity threats, today
  • Making the solutions cost-effective for businesses
  • Being innovative enough that there is potential to stop the next oncoming breach

Cyber Defense Magazine currently has over 5 million readers. This number is growing daily. They deliver online magazines online for free, with exclusive editions for the RSA conference. Cyber Defense Magazine is a member of the Cyber Defense Media Group, which is a division of Ingersoll Lockwood.

Untangle has its headquarters in San Jose, California. They currently serve over 40,000 customers and protect millions of people and devices from cybersecurity threats. The Untangle Network Security Framework provides cloud security and connectivity that allows for protection, monitoring, and control over the entire attack surface.
